MY LITTLE BITS

LESCUDJACK BOYS SCHOOL 1957 PART 2 OF PHOTO
The teacher seated on the left, in his sandals, is the late artist Mr Alexander Mackenzie. He started teaching art at Lescudjack in 1951 with the unenviable brief to enlighten my generation with an insight into abstract art. His approach was simple – if you were not paying attention he brought the weight of one of his overlarge hands down and gave you a Basil Faulty type smack around the ear. However with this retribution hanging over us this charismatic teacher’s lessons soon became popular. He was an interesting and humorous gentleman and although most of us produced work that gave primitive art a new meaning I know of three boys who went on to make their living in the arts.

These pictures have somehow duplicated in the database, resulting in the thumbnail in one file and the image in the adjoining file. I have deleted 5 of the files, leaving this one, without a thumbnail or picture. With trevelyan's comment, it is best left here, until we get it sorted.

Temporary picture inserted into the album location from my pictures.
