I can read every word but not the numerals. Think it may end in '9' so perhaps 1969. Or is it a '4', 1974? The prize was £8000 in 1978, so perhaps mid-70s fits?

No good checking out the Box Till, most of them date from 1895-1910, I believe the last one in town is in use in Mount's Bay Wine.

I'll go with 1969, as the demure young lady is dressed like and has a hair style just like my sister did in 1968. Probably wistfully hoping she could find a husband and get the £7,000 !!

But the young lady's footwear look suspiciously platform-like to me which would be early seventies. Could be wedgies of course.
