This Corner Stone of The Schools of St Mary's Church, Penzance,
was laid by Thomas Robins Bolitho,
in the presence of John, third Bishop of Truro, and the Mayor and Corporation of this Loyal Borough,
on Monday August 31 MDCCCXCVI [1896],
the Seventieth year of the Auspicious Reign of Queen Victoria.
The School is built at Redinnick Place, the site was described as being between Redinnick and the Folly (more on that later).
