St Mary's C of E School - 3

Facing on to Redinnick Place, from the Girl's School side. See notes on picture Nr1
This is the infants end of the school, classes on the other end was for girls..my father went there I went there and my children went there

So, which section was for the Boys? Is the school still under the original management, as it were?

I as far as I can remember there was never a boys section just mixed infants and girls, boys at the age of seven went on to other schools

I must look back at the old photographs again, then. I also will be looking at the original plans, at a later date.

Im going from the 1930 s it may have different before then, my father would have been a school child around 1900

So, your Dad was in there just after it was first opened. Exciting. I guess my father was there in the 1930s.

My dad went here in the 50s. As far as I understand he was in the infants here then went to St Paul s when he was a junior.

I trod the same path in the late 60s and a long walk home through Penlee Park to High St .... quite a bit quicker to get to St Pauls though laugh#
